Ohhhh I'm so envious!! Is it pretty???
We've contemplated it numerous times but haven't to date! Who knows it may happen one day. I do like to be beside the seaside? Is yours at Felixstowe?
That will be a lovely way for you both to relax xx
Wow, sounds lovely. How nice for you both, enjoy! Vee x
More pics, more pics, more pics please.xx
Oh how lovely! They rarely come up for sale, you are lucky to have one! Margaret P
I am so thrilled for you. What a lovely lovely thing - you can sit out of the wind and watch the waves [and brew a cuppa] May many sunny blessings come your way as you enjoy the hut!! xx
That is fantastic, I would just love, love, love one of those! Perfect for you and Col to get away and relax for a while.I have many happy childhood memories of holidays in beach huts. Money was tight so many of the days were spent in and around the beach hut, Even on rainy days, board games, reading and sewing were fun.Mum had a little calor gas stove and it was amazing how she made meals for us.Enjoy and best wishes to you both.Pam in TX.xxx
Fantastic, looking forward to more photos. X
Better pack the thermals then...I hear we're in for a chilly week ahead. x
Love beach huts. We used to rent a holiday flat or caravan at Walton on the Naze and for an extra £5 we had the use of a beach hut for the week. Used to take bread, salad and we could have a cup of tea as there was a calor gas stove. Great days and even when it was cold or rainy you could cosy up inside and watch the weather, read or play games. Great idea, I hope you have both have hours of fun. Love Andie xxx
What an amazing thing to acquire, I loved the sand & sea photo, and I hope you'll share more as you go along.
OMG Sue that is amazing news. How fabulous!
I have always wanted a beach hut. how wonderful for you I hope you spend many happy hours enjoying it.
Yay! The ones on the South Coast cost a fortune, hope they are cheaper in Suffolk
WOW! How cool is that! Congratulations!
Congratulations and well deserved!! I hope you and Col have many many wonderful, sunny, relaxing times there.
Oooooh, can't wait to see it.
Which beach will you be residing on all summer then? Perfect idea while you're staying put, and you can rent it out as an income stream when you are both well enough to go off on your travels (or leave it for the grandchildren to keep safe and cosy in!). We found beach huts could be invaluable when the kids were still small enough to need naps and nappy changes. I bet yours will be the best kept hut on the row!
So exciting, what a lovely thing to do. My parents hired a beach hut one holiday at Newquay in Cornwall. Have some very happy memories with it even though it must be 45 years ago. Something for you both to look forward to using and for your family to enjoy as well :)
What fun, I am so jealous, whilst waiting for the warmers days to come, you can dream of all the brilliant times you are going to have.
Lovely news-I would love one of these but old probably settle for a craft shed in the garden!! I love the sea in all seasons and I'd be sitting there wrapped in layers on Christmas Day if Icould. Catriona
Oh, how fantastic! I'm very envious. I hope it brings you and your family many years of pleasure. X
Wonderful. The sea air will be good for Col - and you too of course.
Goodness, how exciting. Hope you get to spend lots of days in your new abode. A flask on the chilly days and a coolbox on the warmer ones and you're all set. Fantastic. xx
What a brilliant idea. Let's hope we have A Good Summer (for a change!)
Wonderful lucky you
Now that is the kind of shed purchase that I could definitely get behind - well, inside actually, not behind!!! Hope you have lots of great days there! xx
Is that Felixstowe? I love Felixstowe in summer. Rain or shine, if you've got a beach hut then it's always seaside weather! Trouble is, Bill's family beach hut is in Frinton, which is fine, but there isn't much going on along the sea front in Frinton! ;o) Have fun. Will you be doing it up and showing us pics? I hope so! x
Oh lucky you, and what a perfect place for you both to relax and let the sea calm you. Are you going to 'pretty it up'?
Wagt great News!!
